License Bonds

License & Permit bonds are bonds that are required by a village, town, city, township, county, state, or the United States (also known as obligees) as part of a requirement for a business or individual to obtain a particular license to conduct business or a permit to do something. There are literally thousands of licensing or permit requirements that include a provision for posting a bond. The bonds will guarantee that the licensee conduct their business in accordance with statute, law, or rules governing that particular business. The bonds are generally written to protect the residents of the obligee from improper business practices or violations of governing regulations, and will sometimes include guarantees of performance of work.
